Salam!
I have a big treat for you guys!

A friend told me to check out this website after knowing how fascinated I am by space and such. It blew me away!

This is a huge project!

It actually shows you everything science knows about the universe by size. From the farthest Galaxy to things that are even smaller than atoms!

And if you click on any of what you'd see, there would be a scientific description and some interesting facts on it.

The site is just indescribable, when you check it out you will be speechless, and you will know that everything I wrote here doesn't give it justice.

Check it out for yourself! The Scale of the Universe
(Oh and it is available in many languages, including Arabic.)

Salam,
I was checking out Facebook and look what I found! ;p

lol so original ;p
Makes me wonder who they copied it from? ;p

Salam,

Before yesterday, the Galaxy S III started showing up in random places in Kuwait. Many people are advertising through the web or other means such as BBM and Whatsapp that they have acquired some devices and are ready for sale.

I have contacted someone, thinking that they would be reasonable with the price. We all know that the Galaxy S III costs 189 K.Ds, so I offered him 200 K.Ds since I would be getting it for early. But he refused, he was selling it for more than 250 K.Ds. So I decided to just wait until the official release next Sunday. But at the same time I was checking out every possible place on the web trying to hunt it! That was until around 5 pm yesterday.

A friend told me that it seems VIVA had already brought it and so I called them.. But their offer kind of sucked. Since I am only interested in the device, and not the minutes and internet they'd offer, I asked about the least expensive package. They said it would be a monthly 21 K.Ds for 18 months. But the bomb was that if you take one of those packages they are offering, you would get a DISCOUNT on the device. So I would have to pay 125 K.Ds in order to take it.

I went to 360 Mall with my brother and cousins, and enjoyed a nice dinner over there. That was when I checked twitter to find Zain tweeting that the device is available. I asked them on twitter right away if that means I'd be getting it tonight, or pre-ordering it? But they did not reply. I did not know that there was a Zain branch there so I called and asked about it. I found out that they have an amazing offer where you can make your own package, and since as I said earlier, I am not interested in the new line... I chose the 18 months subscription thing with no free minutes, no internet, no anything.. just the line. And it turned out to be possible. The line would cost 2 k.ds per month, and the Galaxy S III would cost me 11 K.Ds per month. And what you would pay on the first day to get the device and the line is the first payment, 13 k.ds. Not only that but if you happen to keep paying extra every month, for example 20 instead of 13, and end up paying the money for the whole 18 months before you actually spend 18 months.. You can terminate the contract. They do require the first payment to be through a VISA or a MasterCard though..

So I headed to the 360 Branch, and started doing the paperwork while looking at the Galaxy S III that would soon be handed to me. When I gave him the VISA I told him that I was loading it with credit online so that I can pay. Then he asked if it was a prepaid VISA. And it was, but that was not written on it. Meaning that if I did not mention it he would not have noticed. He then told me that they can not accept that, it has to be a normal one. After trying to convince him for a while that I have actually used this VISA in many other places, he agreed and we started moving on with the paperwork. But my luck would still strike again! ALL the K-Net machines in the 360 Zain branch stopped working! And he suggested that I head to the Airport branch and get one. But that was when Zain lost me as a customer! After heading there, and waiting for more than two hours in line.. the employee saw my VISA and recognized it because he uses the same one! What are the chances?! Then he completely refused to accept it and my 13k.ds/month plan just vanished. I liked their package and the way you can construct it the way you want, and they were giving you the device with such an amazing offer, and even though I wanted to join them as a new customer.. They decided not to have me just because they want to use the VISA on first pay, and because that one customer recognized that mine was a prepaid card, or it would've just went through.

I was in the airport, and Wataniya was right next to Zain. So I decided to check their offer out. Again I am aiming for the least expensive monthly plan. When I asked they said there was no need for VISA or whatever. You would pay 8 K.Ds to get the line and the Galaxy S III. Then I would have to pay 19 K.Ds per month for 18 months. (Since you could not construct your package, and HAD to choose something. I chose the 300 minutes per month package which I would never use lol.) But after all that time I could not just go back home empty handed. It was around 2 AM when I finally got the device and left the airport.

It was a hectic day in a way, but in the end, it was well worth it.
The Galaxy S III is a must have!

Salam,
I found this promo on Frankom's Blog and found it to be interesting.
I've always been puzzled by all the talks regarding what happened in Sog Al Manakh.
I know I'll be waiting for this.

Here is the promo:

Salam,
I have received a call from Qualitynet this morning to inform me that they will terminate my account. Their reason was that I download too much.

Of course this is not the main reason, this is just like what happened back in June. They would offer services that they can NOT actually do, then blame you for it. Last June they introduced the 24 MB DSL account, but two months later they introduced their "fair usage policy" or in English, "We can't afford all this bandwidth."

I have been using the 8 MB Nitro package since last Sept. and this package can go up to 42 (or 48?) MB at around 4-6 am. It doesn't require a rocket scientist to figure out that someone paying for this package is going to be downloading loads of stuff no? They offer "UNCAPPED UNLIMITED FAST INTERNET" or so they say, but once you download a lot, they don't want your business anymore because they can not keep their word. (Of course, they never kept their word before.)

I have always had problems with them, when I reported them to their facebook page they would delete them. When I asked why not answer me instead of deleting them? they blocked me lol.

So if you have a contract then suddenly you can't pay, and need to terminate the contract, they would make you pay a fine for it. But if they can't give you the service you already paid for, it is okay for them to just terminate you?

But then again what would you expect from a company who bought their way up? :)
Quality Zeft indeed. :)

Salam,
Are you familiar with the exhibition going on in Kuwait University? Get2Gether?
Here is something weird, I never really expected anything like this even though I have heard of people stealing other people's work before.

This guy, is standing proud in his own booth in Get2Gether, selling designs he STOLE from a talented Kuwaiti designer called  f2o Designs while he calls himself on twitter "BestDes_Q8i" which I figure means Best Designs, even though he stole them.

He was confronted, and his reply was "Oh I will be in the Down Town expo too, and I will keep selling those, and even for less than what f2o designs sells them for."

So he is a thief, stealing someone's design, selling it as his own, and even challenging the original owner that he can do whatever he wants. Then he wanted to create an excuse for himself.. and he made an excuse even more pathetic than his low self.

"You don't have the right to call me a thief, I did not go to her store and steal them. I got them off the internet! And 1/3 of my merchandise is my own design."

So if you steal something from the web then it is justifiable? Oh and you think I'd trust you with that 1/3? He probably stole them from somewhere else. And he admitted that 2/3 of the things he's selling are not his.

What kind of expo would want someone like that in?

Here are the stolen designs he's selling:

There was another picture showing lots more than this, but it had a girl checking them so I did not post it.

Here are his replies when he was confronted:

And here are the stolen designs in their original place:

What would you call such a guy?
Ignore that, don't waste your time on someone like him.

Now let's think..
What would you do to help f2o designs?
Don't you think she needs our support?

As a blogger, I had to do my part and show what's been going on.
I delivered the message, and I hope to see you people supporting her, because I surely will.

To the people managing Get2Gether expo, and the people participating in it..
And also, the people managing the incoming Down Town expo, and the people participating in it..

How can you let such a person join you?
How can you agree to be in the same expo as he is?
How can you agree to look at his "work" and even buy from him?

Let's do our best,
and support f2o Designs.
